Press Release
The atmosphere was thick with expectancy as we kicked off with the Portfolio Test Shoots on Friday. Those that took advantage of the shoot received big value for money.Saturday was a full house of contestants as they presented themselves to our local agents and scouts. They then had a great bonus in the workshop where they learned a lot about the industry and how it worked. Saturday was rounded off with the first rehearsals and fittings for the Gala Show on Monday night.
Sunday was awesome to see models dressed in their own high fashion, and then again the workshop with Q & A's with top people in the industry like:
The Final event on Monday gave our models the experience they need for the professional industry. Models wore amazing outfits. The stage was set and the models anticipated to show what they can do in a professional choreographed show.
All Finalists had the opportunity to meet and pose with the current Mr. South Africa, Steven Segal as they were presented with a certificate for being at MHI 2009.
As we hoped the International Contract was not just for one model, but was shared between 4 models:
One $100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Dollar) International Contract to the Winner - Tana Boshoff, 1 Developing Contract to Michelle Wegener and two Open Contracts to Luandre Vermaak and Eloise Schamrel.
All share in the One Million Dollar Contract Challenge, the quicker they get themselves ready for the International Market, the quicker they can start earning their share in the Contract Value.
Needless to say the models that are ready first will take a bigger share in the contract. All expenses are paid (flights & accommodation) for the duration of the contract, as and when they are ready to go.
We wish them the best of luck and success with their modelling careers and hope that they will always remember their humble beginnings.
